Correspondence Test Proctoring Information
Testing and Evaluation Services offers proctoring services for all types of exams. If you are required to take an exam in a proctored setting please review the information below.
Hours of Operation:
Mon-Fri, 8am-10pm (by appointment only, all testing must be completed by 10pm)
Closed for
legal holidays and
UW-Madison final exam week.
Proctor Fee:
$20.00 per hour (Currency: U.S. Dollar $). This is paid online when scheduling your appointment. You will be charged for the entire amount of time you reserve for your exam.
Test Delivery and Test Return:
It is your responsibility to make sure you have gone through all the steps your institution requires to have the exam sent to our office by the date you are scheduled to test. If you are unsure of how to have the exam sent to us, contact your institution.
We will scan and email the exam to the designated contact from your institution. If your institution requires the exam to be mailed back, you are responsible for providing postage at the time of your exam. All completed exams are stored for 3 months and then securely destroyed.
Proctor Information:
Any proctor verification forms that need a signature can be sent to the email address below. Otherwise use the following information when asked by your institution for proctor information:

Late Requests:
Our online registration system will not allow you to schedule an appointment if it is within 7 days of the requesting date. If you are making a late request (i.e., less than 7 days in advance), please contact our main office at 608-262-5863 to check for availability. We cannot guarantee any late request will be granted. An additional $20 fee will be added to your account for any late request.
Canceling or Rescheduling:
To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact our main office at 608-262-5863. Any changes to the reservation may be made without penalty up to 24 hours prior to the exam date. Cancelations or reschedules within 24 hours will result in forfeiture of your testing fee.
Refund Policy:
Participants may request a refund up to 24 hours before a scheduled appointment either by calling the main office at 608-262-5863, or by emailing frontdesk@exams.wisc.edu
Privacy Statement:
UW Testing and Evaluation does not sell, rent, trade or distribute any personally identifiable information obtained from clients to a third party, except as required by law. Information collected by UW Testing and Evaluation is used for the administrative and operational purposes of our services.

Our Process for Correspondence Testing:
- Please use the link below to schedule an appointment.
- Once you complete the online order and payment sections and receive an confirmation by email, you will be on our testing schedule. If you are having difficulty completing the online form or if you do not receive a confirmation by email, please contact our office at 608-262-5863 so that we may check on the status of your request. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must do so at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled arrival time or you will forfeit your testing fees.
- It is your responsibility to make sure the exam gets to us before your scheduled time.
- We will only contact you if we have not received the exam 2 business days before your scheduled appointment.
